For A Fresh Start

Join us in  worship every sunday @ 10:25am

The last picture to this story is one of the most painfully beautiful images you will ever see.

God healed his wife, but not in the way you think.  This story from our friends at Seacoast church is hard to watch, but the last image makes it all worth it.  God is still present in our loss and in our grieving.  Let this story remind you of that beautiful truth.

Thank you so much for participating and completing our 3rd year doing Snack Packs for our students at Dutch Fork MS, Dutch Fork HS and Spring Hill HS. For our three schools we provided 1,831 Snack Packs for this school year - Wow!
The total District numbers are: Fifteen churches/businesses provided 622 Snack Packs a week for 37 weeks = 23,014 snack packs at $5 per bag = $115,070. Add 150 Christmas boxes and 342 Summer Food boxes = 492 boxes at $40 per box = $19,680. Total dollars contributed for feeding hungry kids in our community this year is $134,750. How awesome is it to be a part of such a big local mission? To be the hands & feet of Jesus, to donate items, pray for these families, maintain the pantry, shop for the food and deliver the food. Thanking God for so many of His people saying yes as we are called to help the least of these and for His continued provision.
The District and these families, thank you for your kindness, hard work and dedication to helping. It could not have been this successful without you. Thank you from the River Springs Church Food Ministry.
Thank you to those who have been donating or purchasing items for the Summer Food Pantry. We received the names of the 28 families we will be helping during the summer. We have nine families that we continue to help from last year and 19 new families. This means that many of our past families have gotten back on their feet and no longer need assistance - praises for that. Our first pickup date isWednesday June 18th from 6:30-8:30pm. All are welcome to come help.
The items still needed for June are: Elbow Macaroni, Canned Green Beans, Canned Corn, 3lb bags of Rice, Instant Potatoes, Cereal, Oatmeal, Grits, Saltines, Pretzels and Vanilla Wafers. We need lots of these items - any extra will go into next month's boxes. We also need empty boxes to pack food into, i.e. Xerox Paper boxes. If you don't shop but would like to contribute money over and above your tithe instead, just write Food Pantry on your envelope.

We are looking forward to touching base with the families we have gotten to know and meet the new ones as we give this food in Jesus' name, with His love. Many of these return families stated they love coming to get the boxes from River Springs Church as we make them feel accepted and loved.

Summer Clothes for the Homeless through our partnership with Resurrections SC

As we work with Resurrection Ministries in efforts to feed hungry people in Columbia, we are gathering gently used and clean clothing that we can use to bless men & women as well share the love of Christ.

So we are receiving at the church good usable spring and summer clothing: T-shirts, Short sleeve shirts, Shorts (no underwear please), Golf type shirts, Jeans, Sandals. For the men’s sizes we will take what is given but the need is always slanted to the larger sizes L-4X with XL and up as the most needed. Waist sizes are 32-38. The other crucial items needed are: Deodorants, Wash cloths (either new or very clean), Toothpaste, Razor blades (if you buy them in big packs we’ll open and regroup them in sets of three’s.)
